This study explores professional and occupational address forms in English and Kuala Tungkal Malay through a descriptive qualitative approach using contrastive analysis. English data were drawn from literature, while Kuala Tungkal Malay data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis focuses on the forms, functions, and cultural meanings of address. The study’s novelty lies in its cross-linguistic perspective, revealing how global and local address systems reflect contrasting social hierarchies and cultural ideologies. The findings show that both languages use address forms to express respect but differ in structural and sociocultural patterns: English is formal and egalitarian, whereas Kuala Tungkal Malay is flexible, hierarchical, and shaped by religious and local values. These insights contribute to sociolinguistic studies and regional language preservation. Keywords: contrastive analysis, forms of address, English Language, Kuala Tungkal Malay LanguageDownloads
