Indeks dan Sitasi Buku Ilmiah di Google Scholar

Abstract

Para akademisi lebih memilih jurnal ilmiah daripada buku ilmiah untuk memublikasikan hasil penelitiannya. Kelemahan penerbitan buku ilmiah tidak hanya pada sistematika penulisan dan lamanya waktu yang dibutuhkan, tetapi juga memiliki permasalahan yang pelik dalam pengindeksan di Google Scholar. Manajemen metadata dan sistematika penulisan dalam buku ilmiah membuatnya sulit untuk diindeks dengan sempurna di Google Scholar. Kajian deskriptif kualitatif ini mengamati hasil indeks dan sitasi buku ilmiah di Google Scholar dengan mengevaluasi keakuratan pengindeksan buku ilmiah pada beberapa sampel situs web yang memiliki kandungan rich file buku ilmiah. Keluaran situs web tersebut di Google Scholar kemudian diidentifikasi dan dianalisis akurasi pengindeksan dan sitasi otomatisnya menggunakan style bibliografi American Psychological Association (APA) edisi ketujuh. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Google Books merupakan situs web dengan hasil indeks dan sitasi yang paling akurat di Google Scholar. Luminos menjadi alternatif dengan hasil pengindeksan dan sitasi yang mendekati Google Books.
