Lib Talk Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia Sebagai Perluasan Jangkauan Layanan Referensi Melalui Teknologi

Abstract: LibTalk is a virtual reference service program offered by the National Library of Indonesia that uses virtual talks to give users with knowledge about specific collections of library science as well as information about librarianship. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study technique. The results of this research indicate that the success of the LibTalk program is driven by the behavior performance of librarians who are inclusive, approachable, ensure user engagement, carry out good information searches, and provide closure. This research also found that the sustainability of the LibTalk program requires commitment and support from resources and librarians. Therefore, the continuation of the LibTalk program is very necessary with the expansion of resource support and librarian.

Abstrak: LibTalk merupakan salah satu program layanan referensi virtual yang disediakan Perpustakaan Nasional RI untuk memberikan informasi kepada pemustaka terkait koleksi khusus ilmu perpustakaan serta informasi mengenai kepustakawanan dalam bentuk diskusi virtual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan program LibTalk didorong oleh perilaku pustakawan yang inklusif, mudah didekati, memastikan keterlibatan pemustaka, melakukan pencarian informasi yang baik, dan memberikan penutup. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa keberlangsungan program LibTalk membutuhkan komitmen serta dukungan sumber daya dan tenaga pustakawan. Oleh karena itu, keberlanjutan program LibTalk sangat diperlukan dengan adanya perluasan dukungan sumber daya dan tenaga pustakawan.
