PENGARUH INTENSITAS PHUBBING TERHADAP KUALITAS KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL SANTRI DI PPTQ AL HIDAYAH

Phubbing merupakan tindakan mengesampingkan individu di sekitar dalam konteks sosial karena fokus perhatian yang intens pada smartphone, yang mengakibatkan kurangnya perhatian terhadap komunikasi dan lingkungan sekitar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai sejauh mana intensitas Phubbing mempengaruhi kualitas komunikasi interpersonal di kalangan santri. Pendekatan penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dan digunakan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh variabel intensitas Phubbing terhadap variabel komunikasi interpersonal. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh, di mana penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh santri sebagai responden, dengan total responden sebanyak 89 santri. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan skala Likert, di mana setiap pertanyaan memiliki skor tersendiri. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah melalui uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji linieritas, dan uji heterokedasitas. Hasil penelitian, setelah diuji dengan analisis regresi sederhana, menunjukkan bahwa signifikansi (sig) sebesar 0,001 (p<0,05), mengindikasikan bahwa intensitas Phubbing memiliki pengaruh terhadap kualitas komunikasi santri. Fenomena ini disebabkan oleh tingginya aktivitas Phubbing, yang membuat sulit terjalinnya komunikasi interpersonal, sehingga mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas komunikasi.

Aaron Bushnell's Suicide Message to the World

Abstract: The conflict in Israel and Palestine has led to many demonstrations and protests from all circles around the world. The demonstrations and protests at a later stage developed into quite extreme actions, such as the suicide video by burning the body by Aaron Bushnell which had shocked the world of social media. This research uses a message content analysis method with a conventional approach. Taking data sources from the Twitter/X social media of one of the journalists in America, the researcher's focus is to present the world's reaction data based on the theory of mass communication effects caused by the content of Aaron Bushnell's message who committed the extreme protest action by suicide. The result of this research is that Aaron Bushnell's suicide succeeded in giving affective and conative effects on the world, so that the core content of the message conveyed by Aaron Bushnell in the form of Palestinian liberation can have an impact on the world.

Public relations (PR) is a communication tool used by an institution or company to maintain good relations with the public. PR in the Social Services Department, P3A, plays a crucial role in building a positive image in society. The Social Services Department utilizes social media as a means of publicity to disseminate information about the institution, social programs, and activities. Through up-to-date content and responsiveness to questions and complaints from the public, the Social Services Department can shape a positive perception and enhance public appreciation for the institution. With effective PR, the Social Services Department can build a positive image and increase the trust and acceptance of the community towards the services provided. The objective of this study is to determine the strategies of public relations used by the Social Services Department to shape a positive image in society, using a descriptive method and qualitative approach. The findings of this research indicate that the Social Services Department employs segmentation methods in terms of targets and means, allowing the intended message to be maximally received by the audience.

Penelitian ini membahas tentang studi metode dakwah yang digunakan oleh Gus Muhammad Iqdam. Gus Iqdam merupakan seorang tokoh Ulama muda yang memiliki ciri khas menyampaikan dakwah dengan selera humor yang banyak dikenal dengan istilah dekengane pusat pada majelis dakwah Sabilul Taubah melalui media sosial Youtube. Pengajian humor yang disampaikan banyak menarik perhatian masyarakat karena dapat menciptakan suasana yang menyenangkan dalam kegiatan dakwah. Gus Muhammad Iqdam terkenal karena setiap Lelucon yang disajikan dalam kegiatan dakwah, banyak yang mengaitkan dengan pengalaman sehari-hari yang dialami oleh masyarakat. Terkadang, beliau juga menghadirkan komedi yang sarkastik bahkan cerdas, menggunakan kalimat-kalimat yang sangat sesuai dengan audiens yang hadir. Metode penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis isi. Sumber data diperoleh dari video dakwah live di kanal Youtube Gus Iqdam Official, serta dari artikel, buku, dan referensi lain yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Temuan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa salah satu strategi yang berhasil mengatasi kejenuhan pendengar dalam kegiatan dakwah adalah melalui penggunaan humor. Humor menjadi magnet bagi seorang da'i dan menciptakan suasana yang menyenangkan dalam menyampaikan pesan dakwah.

INTERPRETATION OF MYTHS IN THE FILM THE STORY OF THE JAVA LAND OF MERAPI

One type of mass media that captivates viewers both with the content and meaning of what they see is film. The theoretical significance of the story of Merapi Island in Java, as well as its use. The purpose of the study of the words "sigh", "object", and "interpretant" in the film is the focus of this investigation. By applying the model of semiotic analysis proposed by Charles Sanders Pierce, the problem of how meaning arises from a sign when the sign is used by people when communicating. The relationship between signs, objects, and interpretations was drawn by Pierce. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, systematic data analysis from the collection of facts or a set of numerical values, and enriched with documentation in the form of screenshots from several episodes of the film The Story of the Land of Java Merapi. To examine the film The Story of the Land of Java Merapi and its depiction of the myth that Mount Merapi is home to supernatural beings whose existence is still widely believed to exist, the film The Story of the Land of Java Merapi has 6 episodes in its story and each episode in the film The Story of the Land of Java Merapi has several mythical meanings. The phenomenon of Merapi as a very important local genius, the mythological tradition of the nations of the world describes the existence of a region that is the origin of the development of life and heaven civilization or the place of origin that was then abandoned when suddenly heaven turned into hell. After seeing the Story of the Land of Java Merapi, we hope you don't take everything for granted; instead, we encourage you to think critically about the film.

THE INTERSECTION OF PAN-ISLAMISM, NATIONALISM, AND MODERNISM IN AFGHANISTAN’S PRESS IN INDEPENDENCE ERA: A THEMATIC CONTENT ANALYSIS OF AMAN-E-AFGHAN WEEKLY

This study employed a qualitative thematic content analysis to explore Afghanistan’s press coverage in the independence era to examine the interconnectedness of religion, national identity, and progressiveness. Using 80 issues of the Aman-e-Afghan publication, which was the official organ of Amanullah Khan’s government 1919-1929, this study found that from the content and publishing policy perspective, this publication continued the path of Siraj-ul-Akhbar advocating pan-Islamism, nationalism, and modernism. This study also shows that pan-Islamism advocating Muslim unity in this publication was motivated by the Muslim countries suffering from imperialism, while nationalism was inspired by the desire to build a cohesive nation, although ethnocentric. Additionally, this publication tried to reconcile tradition and modernity by promoting education, lawfulness, and legislation to lead the country toward modernization.

ANALISIS FRAMING DETIK.COM DALAM PEMBERITAAN ADZAN DI MEDIA PERANCIS AGENCY FRANCE PRESSE (AFP)

This study examines five news published by the online media Detik.com about the news of the French foreign media Agency France Presse (AFP), which highlights the call to prayer in Indonesia by uploading a news entitled "Piety or Noise Nuisance? Indonesia Tackles Call to Prayer Volume Backlash”. The purpose of this study is to find out how Detik.com framed its five stories with four elements of Robert Entman's framing, namely the Define problem aspect, the Diagnose Cause aspect, the Make Moral Judgment aspect, and the Treatment Recommendation aspect. This research includes the type of Framing Analysis research using a qualitative approach, Data collection using non-participant observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using Robert Entman's model of framing analysis with four aspects of Define problem, aspects of Diagnosis Cause, aspects of Make Moral Judgment, and aspects of Treatment Recommendation. The results of this study are seen from the framing element Define problem, Detik.com media tries to define the problems that occur about French foreign media reporting Agency France Presse (AFP). Diagnose Causes, Framing developed by Detik.com in five news stories, namely mentioning the source of the problems that are currently happening, causing polemics in the community, namely the news from the French foreign media Agency France Presse (AFP), highlighting the call to prayer in Indonesia. Make Moral Judgment, it can be seen that Detik.com media is trying to display moral values that refute the AFP media coverage. Detik.com's Treatment Recommendation media emphasizes solving existing problems.
