Abstract
Pupuk organik menjadi salah satu pilihan para petani untuk mengembalikan produktivitas tanah dan meningkatkan hasil produksi pertaniannya. Setelah selama ini petani di Dusun Sidowayah, Desa Candimulyo, Kecamatan Dolopo, Kabupaten Madiun lebih banyak menggunakan pupuk kimia untuk pertanian. Faktor kemudahan memperoleh barang dan menggunakan pupuk kimia memang menjadi faktor utama pemakaian pupuk kimia. Varian Urea, ZA sudah terbukti dan dirasakan mujarab dalam meningkatkan produksi pertanian, baik itu untuk tanaman padi maupun jagung. Tetapi dibalik itu tentunya ada beberapa bahaya pupuk kimia seperti penggunaan yang berkepanjangan justru akan merusak unsur kesuburan tanah, dan juga hasil pertaniannya mengandung zat kimia, kemudian bisa mengendap dan menyebabkan penyakit di tubuh manusia jika dikonsumsi secara terus menerus. Bahaya akan penggunaan pupuk kimia ini rupanya mulai direspon oleh masyarakat dusun Sidowayah setelah melihat aset dengan metode Asset Based Community Development ditemukan aset berupa kotoran sapi dan kotoran kambing yang diolah menjadi pupuk organik.
