About the Journal

Indonesian Engagement Journal (InEJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published biannually (June and December) by the Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM) of UIN Kiai Ageng Muhammad Besari Ponorogo, Indonesia. This journal serves as a platform for disseminating the results of community service programs, applied research, and social empowerment initiatives that are conducted using participatory approaches.

InEJ focuses on community engagement practices that apply methods such as Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), Participatory Action Research (PAR), Service Learning (SL), and Community-Based Training (CBT). These approaches are rooted in collaboration with the community and aim to contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The journal seeks to bridge academic research with practical community needs, encouraging interdisciplinary contributions from scholars, practitioners, and institutions involved in social development, empowerment, education, and public service.

Since October 2022, InEJ has been nationally accredited (SINTA 5) by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (Ristekdikti), under Decree No. 204/E/KPT/2022. This recognition affirms the journal's commitment to upholding academic quality, relevance, and ethical standards in scholarly publishing.

Indonesian Engagement Journal welcomes contributions in the form of research articles, case studies, best practices, and reflective essays that explore the dynamics and impacts of community engagement in various sectors.
