JOIPAD: Journal of Islamic Philanthropy and Disaster is committed to transparent, responsible, and ethical authorship practices. The journal follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and adopts the authorship criteria established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
To qualify for authorship, each author must meet all four of the following criteria:
1. Make substantial contributions to the conception or design of the study, or to the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data.
2. Draft the manuscript or critically revise it for important intellectual content.
3. Approve the final version of the manuscript for publication.
4. Accept accountability for all aspects of the work and ensure that any concerns regarding its accuracy or integrity are appropriately addressed.
Individuals who do not meet all four criteria should not be listed as authors but may be acknowledged for their contributions, with their consent.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all authors meet the authorship criteria, approve the final manuscript, consent to its submission, and accept responsibility for the integrity of the work.
Any addition, removal, or change in the order of authors after submission requires a written request to the Editor-in-Chief, a clear justification, and written agreement from all authors concerned. All changes are subject to editorial approval. JOIPAD does not permit guest, gift, or ghost authorship.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Any use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies in preparing a manuscript must be disclosed in accordance with JOIPAD's Generative AI Policy. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscripts.
For further information, authors may consult the [ICMJE Recommendations](https://www.icmje.org/recommendations/) and the [COPE website](https://publicationethics.org/).
