Tinjauan Sistematis tentang Penggunaan Media Sosial untuk Promosi Perpustakaan Akademik

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan, merangkum, melakukan analisis, dan sintesis informasi tentang penggunaan media sosial untuk promosi perpustakaan akademik pada artikel jurnal, skripsi, tesis, dan disertasi yang terbit dalam kurun waktu tahun 2012-2021. Peneliti melakukan penelusuran literatur pada beberapa online database yang dilanggan Universitas Indonesia (Science Direct, Emerald, dan ProQuest), artikel jurnal open access yang terindeks di Garuda Ristekbrin, serta skripsi, tesis, dan disertasi dari situs Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia (lib.ui.ac.id). Proses seleksi menghasilkan 14 dokumen untuk dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial yang banyak digunakan untuk promosi perpustakaan adalah Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, dan YouTube. Konten yang paling diminati pengguna yaitu dalam bentuk gambar dan video. Promosi perpustakaan di media sosial dapat dilakukan dalam bentuk berbagi informasi, promosi layanan, kegiatan, dan koleksi, menyediakan layanan berbasis media sosial, serta mengadakan kuis. Tantangan yang dihadapi antara lain jumlah, kompetensi, dan beban kerja staf, masalah privasi dan pencurian identitas, kecepatan internet yang lambat, dan sering terjadi pemadaman listrik. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan oleh perpustakaan untuk mengembangkan strategi promosinya. Selain itu, peneliti yang tertarik untuk mengkaji tentang promosi perpustakaan melalui media sosial dapat melihat hasil penelitian ini untuk memilih metode dan perspektif yang belum pernah digunakan sebelumnya.
