Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

   Submission

  • The submitted manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication in another journal.
  • All submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial assessment by the Editor, and if deemed suitable for further consideration, they will be reviewed by independent and anonymous experts. All peer reviews are double-blind.
  • Manuscripts should be submitted by the author via online submission or email.

Main Sections of the Manuscript

  • Each article must include the title, author’s name, institution, email address, abstract, keywords, content, and references.
  • The manuscript should be written in Indonesian, English, and/or Arabic according to academic writing standards.
  • The title should be simple, concise, informative, and no more than 14 words.
  • The abstract must be in both English and Indonesian.
  • The abstract should be brief, clear, and concise, between 200-250 words, reflecting the problem, research objectives, methods, and research findings. Please also provide 3-5 selected keywords (words or phrases).
  • Manuscripts written in Arabic must always be accompanied by an abstract and title in English.
  • The manuscript length should be between 4000 - 5000 words, on A4 paper with 1.15 spacing, and written in Book Antiqua font style.
  • The content headings should consist of an introduction, discussion (titles and subtitles tailored to the needs of each manuscript), and conclusion.
  • Titles may be divided into sections. Sections should be in bold and capitalized. Subsections should be in bold.
  • Whichever spelling you choose, please apply it consistently.
  • Latin fonts, such as "Et al.," "Versus (vs.)," should be italicized.
  • All Arabic terms or titles must be transliterated following the Library of Congress guidelines. Personal names should not be transliterated.
  • All article references (footnotes and references) should follow the Chicago Manual Style (CMS). A template or article format has been prepared for you to download and use.

Footnotes and References

  • Footnotes and references should use the 17th edition CMS (Chicago Manual Style) reference style. We recommend using a reference manager application like Mendeley.

Footnotes

  • Footnotes for text materials, which should be minimized, should be indicated with numerical superscripts: 1, 2, 3, etc.
  • Footnotes should be placed at the bottom of the relevant page.
  • References should be in alphabetical order. A minimum of 20 references is required. References must include primary sources (constituting 80% of the entire bibliography, including journals, theses, dissertations, and other research) published in the last 10 (ten) years. The remaining 20% may include secondary sources (books and other related publications). It is recommended to use reference software such as Mendeley.
