We are pleased to present Volume 8, Number 2 (2025) of El Barka: Journal of Islamic Economics and Business, featuring a collection of scholarly works that reflect the journal’s continued commitment to advancing contemporary discourse in Islamic economics, finance, and business. This issue explores diverse themes, including the influence of trade in services, inflation, and foreign direct investment on the sharia stock index; halal certification adoption among MSMEs; Islamic ethics and sustainability in supply chain restructuring; institutional accountability in Islamic social finance; leadership and quality of work life in public hospitals; zakat utilization for mustahik welfare enhancement; and lessons from the Bangladeshi Islamic microfinance model for sharia microfinance development in Indonesia.
