Focus and Scope

Indonesian Engagement Journal (InEJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published biannually in June and December by the Institute for Research and Community Services (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat – LPPM) of UIN Kiai Ageng Muhammad Besari Ponorogo, Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarly articles that present the results of community service and engagement activities, with a particular emphasis on participatory and empowerment-based approaches.

The primary focus of InEJ is on initiatives that aim to empower communities, promote social transformation, and contribute to sustainable development goals (SDGs). The journal serves as a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and community development agents to share insights, strategies, and innovative practices in the field of community engagement.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Community empowerment through participatory and inclusive methods

  • Innovative models and best practices in community service

  • University-community partnerships and collaboration

  • Capacity building and social entrepreneurship

By facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience, InEJ seeks to enhance the effectiveness of community engagement practices and foster academic contributions to real-world social challenges.
