Publication Frequency

El Barka: Journal of Islamic Economics and Business is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published by the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Kiai Ageng Muhammad Besari Ponorogo, Indonesia.

The journal is published twice a year:

• Number 1: January–June
• Number 2: July–December

Each issue contains a minimum of seven articles.

To ensure the timely dissemination of research, El Barka applies a continuous publication model. Articles are published online in the current issue as soon as they have completed peer review, copyediting, and layout, without waiting for the full issue to be compiled. Each issue is closed at the end of its publication period.

All articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and are freely accessible through the journal’s Archives page.
