Aims and Scope

Cendekia: Jurnal Kependidikan dan Kemasyarakatan is a reputable journal published by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, the State Islamic Institute of Ponorogo (IAIN Ponorogo), Indonesia. The journal is committed to advancing scholarly research in the field of Islamic education by fostering rigorous academic inquiry and critical discourse. The journal's primary focus encompasses a wide range of topics within the scope of integrated Islamic education across various educational settings, including formal, non-formal, and informal education. It seeks to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice. Key areas of interest include, but are not limited to, Islamic education in formal educational institutions (secondary and higher education); traditional Islamic educational settings such as pesantren, madrasa, and madrasa diniyah; community-based religious education, including majlis ta’lim; and family and home-based Islamic education practices. Through the dissemination of high-quality, original scholarship, Cendekia aims to serve as a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to engage with current issues and emerging trends in Islamic education, both in Indonesia and globally.
