Abstract
Abstract: Innovative educational media is one of effective way to increase students’activities and to improve language skills. Vocabulary is key to mastering four language skills and plays important role. Therefore, researcher developed educational media in vocabularies learning in the form of educational toys, Scrabble of Arabic alphabet. This research is focused on how to manage and apply it. The approach used are qualitative and quantitative (RnD). It was conducted for students Ulil Abshor institute for girls Ponorogo State Islamic University. The results of this study indicated learning vocabularies by developing Scrabble is able to improve students' vocabularies skills and influence mastery of Arabic language skills as represented by differences in test results (pre-test and post-test) which are calculated by t-test. Scrabble of Arabic alphabet is considered effective to improve student skills as it proven by testing and improvement stages of the Experts to be feasible for use.
Abstrak: Media pendidikan yang inovatif dinilai penting dalam meningkatkan aktivitas siswa serta meningkatkan keterampilan bahasa. Di sisi lain, kosakata adalah kunci untuk menguasai empat keterampilan bahasa dan memiliki peran penting dalam pengaruhnya. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mengembangkan media dalam pembelajaran kosakata dalam bentuk permainan “Scrabble Huruf Hijaiyah”. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada bagaimana proses pengembangan dan penerapannya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang merupakan rangkaian penelitian pengembangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa di ma’had Ulil Abshor (Putri) IAIN Ponorogo. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kosakata dengan mengembangkan Scrabble mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kosakata mahasiswa dan mempengaruhi penguasaan kemampuan berbahasa Arab yang ditunjukkan melalui perbedaan hasil tes (pre-test dan post-test) yang dihitung dengan uji-t. Scrabble huruf hijaiyah ini dinilai mampu meningkatkan kemahiran siswa karena telah melalui tahap uji coba dan perbaikan dari para Ahli sehingga layak untuk digunakan.
