Integration of Islamic Education and Culture: A Systematic Literature Review in Wayang Art

This research aims to identify types of wayang arts; and analyzing the values ”‹”‹of Islamic education contained in wayang art. The approach used in research is qualitative, using data collection techniques “systematic literature review” (SLR). Data collection through reviews, such as “books, journal article, proceedings, and final student research (thesis & dissertation),” using “Google Scholar,” “ScienceDirect,” and “Publish or Perish” (PoP). First, the types of wayang that have been played by puppeteers, and the stories (characters) that have elements of Islamic education, include: “wayang Beber, wayang Orang, wayang Purwa, wayang Menak, wayang Syadat, wayang Purwa, wayang Sukuraga, wayang Gung, and wayang Tavip.” Then the impact of Islamic educational values ”‹”‹includes: “Providing strengthening of identity with Islamic values; Provide cultural and religious integration; Providing strengthening character education; Providing as an effective medium for da’wah; and Providing interactive and reflective learning.” In this way, wayang art and Islamic education have a relationship that combines religious values ”‹”‹and local culture. Wayang is not just entertainment, but also functions as a tool to provide moral, character, religious and spiritual lessons to students, which teaches stories according to the story. Islamic teachings and local cultural wisdom.
