- Justicia Islamica: Jurnal Kajian Hukum dan Sosial is published by Sharia Department of STAIN Ponorogo. It was firstly published in 2004 based on the Decree of Chairman of STAIN Ponorogo Number: Sti.21.3/PP.00.9/10/2003 and Decision Letter ISSN LIPI No.693/JI.3.02/SK.ISSN/2003.
- In 2024 first published printed edition with ISSN Number 1693-5926. This journal are published 2 times a year; June and December.
- In 2016, starting from Volume 13 No 1 2016, the journal is accessible online at http://jurnal.stainponorogo.ac.id/index.php/justicia.
- Migrated gradually to an electronic journal system in 2016 (Open Access). In online with ISSN Number 2502-7646.
- Since 2016 Member of CrossRef, all published articles in this journal will have a unique DOI number.
- In December 2016, starting from Volume 14 No 1 2017, it added The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
- Since 9 July 2018 was accredited Sinta 2based on the Decree Number 21/E/KPT/2018.
- The journal was awarded as The Third Awardee of Constitution Prize on Scientific Journal of Law and National Constitution 2019 from Indonesian Constitutional Court.
- In March 2020, has been indexed by Moraref.
- In May 2020, has been indexed by Garuda.
- In June 2020: Starting with 3, No. 1, 2020, the Journal of Islamic Lawhas published all its manuscripts in English version.
- Starting from Volume 17 No. 1 2020, the journal logo is changed into a colourful and more interesting one
- It is now a fully online journal available in English or Arabic from Vol 17 No. 1, 2020.
- In 23 December 2020, was reaccredited Sinta 2 by Decree Number 200/M/KPT/2020.
- June 10, 2021 has established and joined as a member with the Indonesian Law Journal Managers Association (APJHI).
- February 10, 2022: The Journal of Islamic Lawhas been in collaboration with Asosiasi Dosen Hukum Keluarga Islam (ADHKI) Indonesia.
- Since 2023, the publication has been in collaboration with The Islamic Law Researcher Association (APHI)
- Since February 2024, the journal has upgraded its online publication platform using OJS 3 with the same URL address.
