Vol. 5 No. 2 (2025)

We are proud to announce the publication of Volume 5, Number 2 (2025) of the INVEST Journal of Sharia & Economic Law, featuring groundbreaking research at the intersection of Islamic law, economics, and contemporary socio-legal reform.

This issue covers diverse and timely themes, including a maqāṣid al-sharīʿa framework for reforming Indonesia’s approach to the transfer of sentenced persons, productive zakat empowerment models for urban mustahiq, and behavioral determinants of Sharia e-commerce adoption among Generation Z Muslims. It also features a cultural-accounting study of Gorontalo travelers to Mecca and a human-rights-based legal analysis of student finance and the Islamic prohibition on interest-based loans in the United Kingdom.

These articles represent contributions from a range of international institutions, including Indonesia (Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya, University of Darussalam Gontor, Diponegoro University, and IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo) and the United Kingdom (Lancaster University). Together, they demonstrate the journal’s growing global engagement and commitment to advancing scholarly dialogue on Sharia, ethics, and socio-economic law.
