Corrections and Retractions Policy
Cendekia: Jurnal Kependidikan dan Kemasyarakatan is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. When significant errors or concerns are identified in a published article, the journal will assess the available evidence and determine the appropriate action.
Corrections: A correction will be considered when an error affects the accuracy or interpretation of an article but does not invalidate its principal findings or conclusions. The correction notice will identify the affected article and clearly explain the change.
Retractions: Retraction may be necessary when reliable evidence demonstrates that an article’s findings are unreliable, the work involves serious research or publication misconduct, or another substantial problem undermines the integrity of the publication. Retraction decisions will follow a fair assessment of the evidence and provide the authors with an appropriate opportunity to respond.
Expressions of concern: An expression of concern may be issued when a credible allegation requires further investigation but the available evidence is insufficient for a final decision.
The journal will provide a clear notice explaining the reason for a correction, retraction, or expression of concern and link the notice to the original article. Retracted articles will remain identifiable in the scholarly record, with their retracted status clearly indicated, rather than being silently removed.
Authors are expected to notify the editorial office promptly when they discover significant errors in their published work and to cooperate in resolving the matter.
