Conflict of Interest

Conflict of Interest

The Indonesian Journal of Gender Studies (IJouGS) is committed to ensuring transparency, impartiality, and integrity throughout the editorial and publication process. All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could improperly influence the research, peer review, editorial decisions, or publication of a manuscript.

Authors

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, personal, institutional, or other relationships that may influence, or reasonably be perceived to influence, their research or its interpretation. Relevant interests include funding, employment, consultancy, personal relationships, and affiliations with organizations connected to the research. If no conflict of interest exists, authors should explicitly state: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

Reviewers and Editors

Reviewers and editors must disclose any conflicts of interest that could compromise their impartiality. Such conflicts may arise from personal relationships, professional collaboration, institutional affiliations, financial interests, or direct competition with the authors. Individuals with a relevant conflict must withdraw from the review or decision-making process when appropriate.

Editorial Handling

IJouGS evaluates disclosed conflicts and takes appropriate measures to protect the integrity and fairness of the editorial process. These measures may include assigning an independent editor or reviewer, requesting additional disclosure, or taking other necessary action.

All conflict-of-interest disclosures are handled confidentially and considered in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies. Failure to disclose a relevant conflict may result in editorial action, including rejection, correction, or retraction of a published article, where warranted.
