Copyright
The Indonesian Journal of Gender Studies (IJouGS) respects authors' intellectual property rights and is committed to the responsible dissemination of scholarly work. Copyright and the permitted use, distribution, and reuse of published articles are governed by the applicable copyright notice and licensing terms.
Copyright Ownership
Authors retain copyright of their published works. Publication in IJouGS does not transfer copyright ownership from the authors to the journal.
By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that they have the authority to submit the work for publication and that the manuscript does not knowingly infringe the copyright, intellectual property rights, or other legal rights of third parties.
Authors are responsible for obtaining any permissions required to reproduce or adapt copyrighted materials, including photographs, illustrations, tables, figures, and substantial excerpts from other works.
Publication Rights
Upon acceptance, authors authorize IJouGS to publish and disseminate the article in accordance with the journal's publication policies and the applicable license.
The journal's publication rights should be understood separately from copyright ownership. Authors retain copyright, while the journal is authorized to publish the article and identify IJouGS as its original place of publication.
Authors who share or republish their articles through institutional repositories, personal websites, academic networks, or other scholarly platforms should acknowledge the article's original publication in IJouGS and comply with the applicable license terms.
Copyright Notice and Licensing
Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), as indicated in the journal's article-level licensing information.
Under this license, users may share and adapt the published material for non-commercial purposes, provided that they give appropriate attribution, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether changes have been made. Uses that fall outside the license's permissions require authorization from the relevant rights holder.
The applicable license and copyright information should be clearly displayed on each published article's webpage and in the published article itself.
Third-Party Materials
Authors must ensure that all third-party materials included in their manuscripts are properly attributed and that the necessary permissions have been obtained where required. The journal's license for an article does not automatically extend to third-party content that is subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions.
Post-Publication Rights and Responsibilities
Authors may disseminate their published work in accordance with the applicable license and relevant legal requirements. Any subsequent use, reproduction, distribution, or adaptation must respect the rights of the authors, the terms of the license, and the rights of third-party materials.
Questions concerning copyright, publication rights, or licensing should be directed to the IJouGS editorial team through the contact information provided on the journal's official website.
